As for my mix instead of pure water I used celestial black cherry berry tea and some red wine vinegar. I did not experience the dryness some other users are reporting, but I did rinse with copious amounts of conditioner (4-5x my usual amount). I can’t even brush it normally after a shower and end up having to use leave in conditioner as well. This henna is amazing. I let set for about 2 hours to allow the color to express itself fully. -Take your time! This is the first time I’ve used to to dye my hair a lighter color. I totally recommend this for anyone who wants to dye their hair–and even those who don’t–accept I would advise perhaps ordering a little more than you think you need.
